Good Vibes Festival '16

Just a few weeks ago, I headed to Genting (for the first time in my life), with Amos, Syaf and Ritche for the Good Vibes Festival.
I started the trip off with a bad start by oversleeping and nearly missing the bus. I wasn't supposed to sleep and was supposed to meet them at the bus terminal at 5:45am but I ended up sleeping, and woke up at 6:15am. I took the fastest bath of my life and thankfully, there was no traffic and the cabby drove really quickly so I reached by 6:40am. The number of spam calls and whatsapps on my phone were real.
I'm so sorry guys! ):
Anyway, the bus ride there was super long. If I remember correctly, it took close to 6 hours, and there were around 4 pit stops. The food really sucked at the stops though so I only bought cigs, snacks and drinks. We stayed at the New World Hotel and the check-in was pretty fast and smooth. It's such a big hotel, I can't even. . . And there were so many Singaporeans there and other festival-goers (there was a package deal for the festival with the hotel but we missed it and it was sold out).
Anyway, you can read more about the trip in detail on my Dayre.
Overall, it was a pretty good trip and even though I had never listened to any of the artists before the festival, I have started listening to some of them now (like Ta-ku, Wafia, Alina Baraz, Disclosure).
The trip was really good and gave us a chance to escape from reality (despite the fact that I had exams the moment I returned). It was good, being out there without any rules. Just us against the world. I'm so glad we didn't fight much either. I mean we didn't fight at all, just minor disagreements (like how I take super long to get ready, and how Amos just randomly walks off without telling anybody where he's going).
Oh but the food at Genting really sucks. And everything is so pricey! I bought teh tarik from the hotel (it came in a small styrofoam cup) and it cost me 6 ringgit. Wtf. It was a total rip-off.
But other than that, the festival was excellent, the company was good, the weather was divine.
Can't wait for our next getaway!
