How A and I Met

Saturday, September 03, 2016

Sorry for the long hiatus! Honestly I doubt if anyone even reads my blog now. Even my Dayre is dead but more alive than this place becauseI upload posts there sporadically.

Anyway, 3 moons have passed and I realise I haven't done a proper post on how Amos and I met, on any platform so I shall do it here.

22nd May 2016
I was spending the evening/night with Chris because Kiwi was attending a funeral wake. We went to the National Gallery to check out the exhibitions and had dinner when I suggested going to Orchard Gateway to check out the Pink Dot booth there.
(Chris had volunteered the previous day and I was curious about what merchandise they were selling.)

We reached the booth and started chatting to the 2 volunteers there. Amos was supposed to be there, helping out and handling the cashier (his workplace is the one selling the merchandise because they had a collab with Pink Dot) but he wasn't because he was busy skiving.

After awhile, Chris and I went down to Twelve to talk to Sijie but we got bored so we went back up to the booth to continue talking to the 2 volunteers (Luqman and Jo) and Chris was trying to get them to hang out with us when they were done because we were really bored af and didn't know what time Kiwi would be done. Awhile later, Amos finally came back to the booth.

(Honestly I don't even remember this whole introduction part because I assumed all those helping out with the booth were gay and hence, thought the same of him. Oops.)

Chris already knew him from the day before so he introduced us to each other, then we went out to smoke.

I remember thinking, "Wow, actually this guy is actually pretty cool. I better not speak to make myself look uncool in front of him."

HAHAHAHAHA.

But really lah his dressing wasnt, and still isn't, bad, definitely different from any average Singaporean guy, and I could tell he had a good fashion sense. Plus he really knew a lot about movies. I still didn't show any interest though because I wasn't sure if he was straight.

Sorry bby.

Then he asked us (Luqman, Chris and I) for our Facebook and Instagram so he could add and follow us but when I used his phone to search for my account and help him add/follow, he said, "I said I want to add meh??" My mind immediately went, "Wtf is wrong with this guy. Damn rude."
(After we got together, A told me he actually only wanted my Facebook and Instagram but didn't want to make it obvious so he asked Chris and Luqman for theirs too. Smooth af lah this guy.)

So anyway, Amos had to clear up the booth and keep the stuff so Chris told him where to find us if he was keen on hanging out with us after his work ended. I was still curious about him so I was secretly hoping he'd join us and voila, he did.
(He said he only came because I was there and he wanted to get to know me better)

We went to chill at the slope behind OG and soon after, Kiwi came too because he was done with his wake. We were all sitting in a circle, Amos was on my left, Kiwi was on my right, and Kiwi messaged me, "Amos is quite cute." Had to slowly and slyly look over to check and nodded slightly hahahah. Sorry lah but before that I didn't really check him out properly and yesssss, he was cute indeed.

Anyway Kiwi started bombarding him with a lot of questions and finally cleared my doubts about his sexuality. He was straight. Phew. Kiwi tried "selling" me to him also though by saying I look like I have a bitch face etc but I have a really nice character one you get to know me. He also told him I'm an intense lover?? WTF. Wanted to smack him lah.

Now we all know which friend can't sell me properly (:

Around 11-ish we all left and I somehow thought that'd be the last I saw of Amos.
):

But nope.

29th May 2016
I received an alert from Facebook Messenger and saw this,
"Hey Brigid, I took some time to muster up a little courage and I was wondering if I could take you out sometimes?"

Final-fucking-ly.

Of course I agreed but I purposely waited an hour to reply his message. Cannot seem too eager and available ok. Homegurl had to play it cool.

31st May 2016
He picked me up from school for our 1st date. HEHEHEHE.
The moment I entered the car, he asked me if he could use my gps though. zzzzz. Not shy one this guy.

But really lah, I thought he was damn cool. We had dinner at Mrs Pho then watched The Witch at the Projector. Thereafter, wanted to get some drinks and went to a few places before finally heading to Wine Bar.

It was a really good date and night. I was initially worried that we wouldn't have anything to talk about but luckily that wasn't the case.

HIS DRIVING GOT PROBLEM ONE THOUGH. OTTOKEEEE.

But nvm, I shall not embarrass him here ahahaha.

Anyway we hung out everyday ever since that first date until Pink Dot. No holding hands or kissing though. We both weren't sure if the other was interested. I think we were quite cute lah lol. Anyhow praise nia.

Anyway all that is history because look where we are now.

I'm really so lucky to have you in my life because you treat me so well. I really feel like I've won the lottery with you.

I love you so much bby. Here's to a lifetime of happiness and a great future ahead with you.
<3

This is our first awkward photo together, 2 days after our 1st date. He asked if he could take a picture to send to his friend in the UK. Hmmmmzzz why must send friend photo with me uhh?
