Hi hi. It's been ages since The Official Bitch Club met up. I think the last time I saw them was during exams in March? And they've seen each other during graduation. LOL.

Iris, Nat and I have met up a few times since but not with Dav and HS.

So we finally decided to make ourselves free and meet up last Friday. Initially, Nat, Iris and I got mixed up with the dates and thought we were meeting up the week before, HAHAHAHA.

Y WE SO BLUR.

Anyway, we felt like eating Thai food so I made reservations for us at The Drinking Market. If you're familiar with that area, you'd know that is was formerly known as Mama Jane and they also have 2 other outlets, Jane Thai, at Orchard Towers and Bedok.


So we decided to order some dishes to share:
Crispy Pork Collar ($10)
Heard a few people raving about it and was recommended to try it a few times. Finally tried it and I wasn't disappointed at all. It's crispy and juicy at the same time. There's also a special sauce to dip it in.

Yummzzz ttm!



Tom Yam Red Seafood Soup ($15)
Ordered this because apparently it's less spicy compared to the clear version? There was more than enough for each of us to have a second helping.

And honestly. . . this tasted better than all the tom yam soups I've had in Thailand.
Thumbs up.

Chicken Wings in Red Wine Sauce (6 pieces) ($9)
This. Is. My. Fav.
2nd time eating this and oh my, I still love it. I think about it sometimes. The sauce tastes like sweet and sour sauce and oh my, super yummy!

You must taste it to see how amazing it is.

I had this. Super yummy but super spicy for me. I'm someone who cannot take spicy food. Should have requested for it to come without chilli but I forgot.

Nonetheless it was still super yummy!



I also ordered my ultimate fav Thai Iced Milk Tea.
It's not as sweet as the ones they have in Thailand but the taste is there.


You can check out their full menu here. Honestly, everything on the menu is super yummy. You can pick anything blindfolded and you wouldn't be disappointed.

They also have a wide range of beers and ciders and their beer on tap is Kirin. They've also recently brought in liquor so yeah, this can be your new hangout place. Go check it out. It's pretty chill and the ambience is good, especially at night when they off the main lights and just the fairy lights are on.

The food was so yummy and we felt so bloated after but of course, there's always room for dessert!

They currently only have 5 flavours - Dark Chocolate, Sea Salt Malt, Biscuitini (?), Mango Lassi and Lychee Lime. But I think they'll be changing the flavours around and maybe adding more. The ice creams aren't that nice but I guess it's selleable? It's not made by them anyway.

After that, we waddled our way to I12 to slack and gossip somemore and camwhore more at the playground upstairs. LOL. It's just what we do best *shrugs*




Hope we can meet up again soon! But of course everyone is super busy with their own lives. I think we'll be having a staycation again *crosses fingers*

It's amazing that we haven't met in so long but when we meet, it's like time hasn't past and we can still talk about the same crap. LOL.

In the meantime, good luck in what y'all are doing! Don't give up! We'll all be there for each other no matter what.

It has been months since my last favourites post so, HI, and welcome to my September Favourites.

1) L'OREAL PARIS COLOR RICHE LE ROUGE - IRIDESCENT MY FIRST PINK

Bought this on impulse because I was going for Nat's birthday after work and had totally forgot to bring my makeup pouch to touchup before going for her party. So I bought this from Sasa.

No regrets.

It's super moisturizing and I love the colour. It manages to stay pretty long too and isn't drying on the lips at all.

2) MAC STUDIO FIX POWDER

This is my second one and I really love it. Finally bought the proper shade as well.. LOL.

Nowadays, my foundation routine is pretty simple. I just apply CC Cream then set it with the Mac Studio Fix. I don't bother much with concealer. Embracing my pimples and flaws. *shrugs*

Will definitely keep purchasing this product for a long time until something better comes along. 

3) UV AQUA WHITE CC CREAM

I had actually received this in one of my Bellaboxes and have been using it everyday. I really love the coverage and texture when applied. I don't even need to use a concealer because it's that good at covering blemishes.

4) REVLON JUST BITTEN KISSABLE STAIN BALM - SWEETHEART VALENTINE


Bought this from BKK but I'm sure you can purchase it in Singapore as well.

Was drawn to the colour (I love pinkish lip sticks). It glides on and applies really well however, I don't really fancy the minty-ish smell and feel of it. Reminds me of Vicks.

The staying power isn't that spectacular either honestly. But I do really love the colour. Plus I paid a really low price for it.

5) MARC JACOBS DAISY

If you know me, you'd know what a fan of Marc Jacobs I am and that I've been wanting to buy a Marc Jacobs perfume for over a year plus. 

Initially I wanted to buy Honey by Marc Jacobs because I really loved the scent and didn't fancy the others too much. However all that changed when I was at the Duty Free at Bangkok's Airport. 

They've actually recently come out with 2 new fragrances as well but I didn't fancy them. Took another whiff of Honey by Marc Jacobs and I don't know. . . but it wasn't what I remembered. Sniffed Daisy again and decided to purchase it. 

Bought the biggest bottle because it was so much more worth it and much cheaper than if I were to buy it in Singapore at a departmental store. 

Daisy has a very floral scent and I don't regret purchasing it at all. 

6) THAI ICED TEA

I've always enjoyed drinking thai iced tea but I don't get to drink it too often because firstly, it's extremely sweet and secondly, it's mostly available at thai restaurants in Singapore.

So last month, I went to BKK and got to drink it almost everyday that I was there. I'd always complain about how sweet it is and that I feel like I'm slowly getting diabetes but I'd still drink it and finish every last drop of it. 

I bought the instant kind too so I can enjoy thai iced tea in the comfort of my own home. I get to drink it alot too when I go to Matt's workplace. 

So it's all good ~

Hi hi.

Been a bit busy with work and bumming on the days that I don't go to work. I really don't have much to update about ):

Anyway, last Saturday was Nat's birthday party at Downtown East.

Met Iris at Tamp first and wasted a bit of time there before heading down (because we were super early).

Arrived at Pasir Ris and apparently we were still super early (?) because they were still hanging decorations, LOL.

Camwhored there a bit then tried to sneak away to E-Hub. And apparently Nat's friends reported to her that we left =.= what the heck.

Came back when it was time to eat anyway. HAHAHA. The thing is we're both super awkward turtle and we didn't know what to do there and there was nowhere for us to sit mah.

Anyway Iris and I exceeded our expectations for what day and we left around 10-ish. (We actually wanted to leave around 8+ okay).

Went to Macs first then cabbed home.

Anyway today is Nat's real birthday, and my sister's birthday.

So HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PEOPLE!

Hihi.

Want to faster post this before I leave for BKK in a few hours time.

Anyway, last Friday, I met Viv again, because she's leaving super soon and I won't have time to meet her before she leaves.

Told her to meet me at Katong for laksa because I was going for pump at PP.

That girl. . . I just can't even. . .

She somehow got lost and ended up in Potong Pasir.

Her sense of direction is horrible omggg. HAHAHAHAH.

I think she took 1.5hrs plus to reach?

By the time she arrived, the laksa shop we wanted to go to had already closed so we had to walk to their main outlet.

And the queue there was so long! We ordered 2 bowls of laksa and an otah. 

After that bought ice cream from Fanny (?) and walked to Chimes because Matt and all were there. Had some drinks there then went to Boyz and drank some more.

Okay actually I didn't drink much cause I don't really drink and I end up getting rashes the next day but yeah, you get my drift.

Is it just me?

I find supermarkets a really good place to play around and take pictures because it's so well-lit and I just love pretending to grocery shop. 

Am I weird? LOL.

Hi, so before I rush off for work, I'll just update my blog. Apparently yesterday in the United States, it was National Waffle Day so here's my post about the waffles at Salted Caramel Cafe!

Last Friday, I met Viv (finally, after a million years). We had seen this list of Singapore's Best 12 Waffles on Ladyironchef's blog and decided to give one of them a try. The list can be found here, if you're interested. 

We picked Salted Caramel Cafe. I took a bus directly from my house and according to gothere.sg, they said I had to stop 23 bus stops later. After the 5th bus stop, I lost count! But basically, you just have to drop at the bus stop after Thompson Plaza. 

Viv took the circle line and she ended up getting lost because there were road works going on. We both agreed that we don't have the best sense of direction nor sense of punctuality. We were supposed to meet at 2pm and ended up meeting close to 4pm. LOL.

Anyway, there were quite a number of ice cream flavours to choose from.

I fell in love at the ripe young age of 17. Not the “let’s hold hands down the hallway so our friends see” type of love. It was more like the “oh shit, I think this is the real thing” type of love. Being 17 years old, there were certain things I knew and certain things I didn’t. I knew I was in love. I also knew there were things I had to see and experience for myself in order to grow as a person and be certain of MYSELF, not my love for the person I was dating at the time.

So, I went my own way for a while and did the things I felt like I needed to do in order to prepare myself for a more long-term relationship.

I’ll pause here.

“Oh, she just wants to make sure there’s nothing better out there and then come running back to you when she finds out there’s not.”

Not the case. Not the truth. For some, it may be. But for me, it wasn’t. I was terrified of the way I felt. I knew I loved this person on a whole different level, and I wanted to experience what I needed to experience and allow myself to grow and change so that when I was more ready to embark on that long-term commitment, I was 1000% sure. When it’s for real, it’s forever.

The moral of the story: We are in the prime of our lives. We are figuring ourselves out. We are falling and getting back up and making mistakes and LEARNING. There is a difference between a person who is learning and a person who is just playing games, don’t get me wrong. You have to have the ability and intuition to be able to tell the difference.

It breaks my heart when I hear people get written off for learning and growing. This is something that should be encouraged and understood, because even if you’re not going through it at the time, I’m sure there was a point where you had to do things for yourself to figure out what you needed and wanted. This does not make anybody a bad person. It simply makes them human. If you fall in love young, you HAVE to understand that you’re both going to go through a lot of stuff to figure out how to be the person you want to be. If you’re still standing together at the end of the day after all that…I think that’s what true love is really about; being there and understanding, not pointing fingers and walking away. Taking space to go on this journey is okay.

There’s nothing wrong with it. And, well…if it comes back to you, it’s yours to keep.
